Using the Microscope for diagnostics of Structure of Materials and Fault El. Equipment
Cvak, Jan ; Hájek, Vítězslav (referee) ; Veselka, František (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to describe the possibility of using a microscope for documentation defects and innovation of electrical machines. I used an electron microscope to document carbon brushes and nanomaterials for possible upgrade of the sliding contact. Use microscopes gives us detailed information about the structure of materials, at the largest stress of the electrical machine. Based on the collected data can be further analyzed and innovation of the carbon brush.
Study of the influence of process parameters on welding properties of ferritic stainless steel and carbon steel in laser oscillation welding
Hála, Kamil ; Sigmund, Marian (referee) ; Mrňa, Libor (advisor)
The Master thesis is focused on the influence of procedural parameters on the properties of heterogeneous weld in laser welding. The literature review section offers an overview of the industrial application of the laser welding technology as well as it explains the issue of heterogeneous weld creation. The experimental part of the thesis aims to describe how six carbon steel samples have been welded together with ferritic stainless steel by usage of several different beam oscillation configurations. Tested samples have been used to create trial ensembles that were subjected for a tension testing, Vickers hardness testing, metallographic testing and corrosive resistant testing. As a result of the experiment, there is a suggestion of the study that could be used for an industrial using of a combination of these materials.
Design of shell orthopedic insole fabricated by 3D printing
Chaloupka, Matyáš ; Koutecký, Tomáš (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of shell orthopedic insole fabricated by 3D printing. The background research is focused on matters of pes planus and on the methods of Rapid Prototyping including most commonly used materials. The structural design is focused on designing a material pattern for this medical instrument and consequently modeling sandwich structure by combining two materials, plastic and softened plastic, which is then made using Rapid Prototyping on Fused Deposition Modeling 3D printer. Rhinoceros© was used for the purpose of making a shell orthopedic insole, especially it’s algorithmic editor tightly integrated with Rhino’s 3D modeling tools, Grasshopper®. Final part was made with sandwich structure by combining PLA plastic and Flex material using Rapid Prototyping.
Welding of steel C45
Hála, Kamil ; Sigmund, Marian (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor‘s thesis is to propose a suitable welding parameters for a small part of steel C45. This steel contains a high percentage of carbon and therefore is difficult to weld. Gas shielded arc welding techniques were considered to be used, and from such techniques, the TIG method seems to be the most advantageous one. For this technique were suggested three groups of parameters and the most suitable one was chosen to be used for the production. The option chosen is of a welding power I=40 A and with preheating 200 °C. The component is made in the single-part production in SAAB Czech s.r.o.

The goal of this thesis is to describe the possibility of using a microscope for documentation of defects and innovation of electrical machines. I used an electron microscope to document carbon brushes and nanomaterials for possible upgrade of the sliding contact. Used microscopes gives us detailed information about the structure of materials at locations with the largest stress in the electrical machine. Collected data can be further analyzed and and carbon brushes can be innovated according to the results.
